I've live in Peterborough and surrounds for pretty much my entire life. I know the area probably better than the average person but I could absolutely say that nobody in this little part of the world has ever heard of a place called "Coochin Cove".
As you can see, it is labelled quite prominently on the ever-reliable Google map of Peterborough's main beach. We have all come to understand over the past two decades that what is written on Google is the definitive answer. However, in this case, NO! Somebody has slapped their own name on what is known by locals as "The Spit". Google doesn't know what is right and what is wrong, it relies on us to correct any errors it has made. This is my new thing today. I corrected Google. I put in an error complaint which very much felt like I was trying to correct the teacher back in high school. A little wrong, yet satisfying at the same time. They seem to have accepted it so it should be disappearing from the map soon.
If you look at a map of Peterborough, Victoria at any point in the future and see "Coochin Cove", ignore it. Someone is playing funny buggers.
I'm looking forward to seeing what is something new I can do tomorrow.
